Is cannabis an effective painkiller?

Cannabis is set to become a booming industry in South Africa. It is estimated that the global Cannabis market is worth $150bn. Supporters claim it is a healthy alternative to chronic pain medication and is proven to reduce nausea in cancer patients and Parkinson symptoms. But what is real and what is rumour?
